ABOUT ME
Hey there! I'm Agatha (or Agi) a graphic designer based in Wellington, New Zealand with a passion for editorial design, typography, illustration, animation and branding. I studied visual communication design at Massey University, Wellington. Throughout my career, I have honed my skills working with a wide range of clients across various industries. My approach to design is to create work that not only looks beautiful but also serves a purpose and connects with the intended audience.
In my spare time, I love spending time with friends and family, going opshopping, or trying out new restaurants. I enjoy getting out into nature and exploring the beautiful outdoors through road trips and walks. Traveling around New Zealand and abroad is a passion of mine and I have a long list of places I want to visit. I also enjoy relaxing at home, curled up with a good book, or working on various arty and crafty activities.

Ag’s Bags
Personal project: Handmade crochet handbags
In 2023, I embarked on a personal project, starting a small handmade crochet handbag business. It began as a new hobby I pursued after work and on weekends. I crafted these bags using thick, recycled T-shirt yarn, resulting in strong, durable handbags. Since the yarn came from T-shirt offcuts, each bag featured unique colours and patterns, allowing me to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind pieces.
I signed up for local markets and participated in four throughout the year. Aside from the bags I gave away as gifts, I successfully sold all my stock.
This project taught me several valuable lessons, including how to set up a business on social media, the hustle involved in preparing for and working long days at craft markets, and the importance of continuously learning new skills, whether for work or pleasure.
